7 Resources to Help Expand Your Job Applicant Pool

Knowing the right resources to use is the first step towards diversifying your job applicants. As younger generations begin to enter the workforce it’s important to promote a work culture that’s diverse. According to Glassdoor’s “Guide to Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace,” research shows that 83% of Millennials are more engaged at work when they believe the organization fosters an inclusive culture.

To help you reach a greater amount of job applicants, we put together a list of seven job boards aimed at reaching diverse audiences.

PDN Recruits

As part of the Professional Diversity Network, this website uses matching technology based on your preferences including skills and experience. The talent consists of candidates that value diversity and features a mix of minority groups. Whether on a mobile device or your work computer, the interface was designed to help you find quality candidates at your convenience.

Posting packages range in price, but the lowest starts at $495.

WorkplaceDiversity.com

This is another source home to candidates from a variety of backgrounds from minority groups to veterans. The mission as a site is to help connect businesses and job seekers who are committed to making a difference in the workplace. Employers just need to register their company on the site, then they will be able to find job seekers with the right qualifications.

Posting costs start at $149.

Diversity.com

Considered one of the premier job posting sites, this job board allows employers to advertise positions for an unlimited amount of time, with free access to job applicant profiles and resumes. Candidates consist of both black and minority groups of all skill levels.

A 30-day standard package costs $220.

FairyGodBoss

Expanding the offerings of a traditional job board, Fairygodboss connects employers with professional women seeking employment, and allows candidates access to career advice and company reviews. For employers, you can share your company story and increase visibility to a network of women. The site also offers onboarding support, monthly performance reports, and quarterly business reviews.

HLPA.com

The Hispanic and Latino Professional Association Job Board offers job listings for the Hispanic and Latino community, bringing job seekers and employers together. The site aims to provide resources on diversity based recruiting for both organizations and job seekers. Another feature the site comes with is a yearly survey conducted to help keep organizations held accountable. The member and user database are asked whether they were hired, by whom and if they have any comments or complaints. From there, the complaints are forwarded to employers for review and response.

A 30-day post costs about $199.

Campus Pride

For in-coming workers, this is a great source for employers to use when hiring entry-level and interns. The site was developed by volunteer student leaders and was designed for student leaders and campus groups as a safe space. Resources and programs are provided for LBTQ+ and ally students across the United States.

AbilityLinks

Add your company page to a job board site that helps provide opportunities to those with disabilities. Companies have the ability to post jobs and receive applications, while also be provided with resources about how to create a more disability-inclusive workplace.

You can post 50 jobs a year with a Silver Sponsorship Package for $3,000.
