Our Client’s Research Lab is joining forces with top hospitals in the Boston metro area to turn cutting-edge medical research into usable, meaningful products. They are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their talented team. This hands-on position will play a key role in the design and verification of hardware that drive the development of amazing new medical imaging technology.
Duties:
- Assist with the assessment and testing of the electrical components of devices
- Ensure compliance with medical safety and regulatory standards
- Follow required regulations, standards and best practices in producing required documents
- Perform unit and integration testing
- Collaborate with engineering to secure new product performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Marketing and Research
- Assist with safety testing
- Ascertain prototype efficiency through data analysis
- Support intellectual property development through the creation of deliverables, models/simulations, failure mode effect evaluations, schematics, board layout designs, among other things
Requirements:
- BSEE and minimum of three years hands on experience with analog and/or digital design
- Knowledge of IEC 60601-1 (3.1 ed.) and IEC60601-1-2 (4th ed.)
- Experience in the Medical Device industry working with complex electrical systems
- Knowledge of power supplies, motor drives, optical sensors/detector
